Chris Gill BSc BVMS MRCVS GPCert(SAS)

Chris went to the University of Leeds to study Animal Physiology & Nutrition before going onto Glasgow University to study Veterinary Medicine & Surgery. He qualified in 1994 and has worked principally in the East Midlands before coming to Family Friends in July 2011.

He met Subo whilst working in Ashby de la Zouch, in Leicestershire, where he became the Clinical Director of the practice. He has a keen interest in all aspects of Small Animal Veterinary Practice, but his particular interest is in Surgery and it was here that he obtained the General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.

Subodhini Gill BVSc MRCVS GPCert(SAM)

Subo qualified from the University of Sydney in 2004. She came over to the UK and started work in Leicestershire where she met Chris. For four years she worked at King Richards Veterinary Centre in Leicester, where for 18 months she became the Principal Veterinary Surgeon following the owner’s retirement. Subo was the main vet for number of charities in Leicester: The National Animal Trust, Honeybunnies Rabbit & Guinea Pig Rescue and Hedgehog Rescue.

Subo has recently completed the General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine – awarded by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies.

Chris & Subo have 2 cats of their own – a middle-aged rescued cat called Thomas, and a young rescued cat called Fawkes. Their old cat, Herman, died in October 2012 at the age of 17.
