CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: JULY 2021
On July 19th the Government is removing the mandate for mask wearing and social distancing, although they continue to recommend the wearing of masks and social distancing in crowded places.
The requirements for self-isolation, however, remain in place, so if any member of staff here tests positive the practice will be forced to close. With COVID cases still rising we will therefore be continuing with our policy of limiting the number of people entering the practice at any one time, and requiring all clients to continue to wear masks whilst in the building.
To keep our staff safe and allow the practice to remain open for our patients, we require ALL visitors to wear a mask, and only 3 people are allowed in the practice at any time.
PET TRAVEL UPDATE, 16th Dec 2020
The Government has updated it's advice on the Pet Travel Scheme for travel to the EU from 1st Jan 2021. Please go to our news page for a brief summary and a link to the official advice.
Coronavirus Update, December 2020
We are taking Coronavirus very seriously, and have taken some steps to try and reduce the spread of the virus in the surgery.
- If you have a fever, cough, sore throat or difficulty breathing, or are in contact with anyone who does, please avoid coming to the surgery.
- In order to comply as best we can with the government's strategy of social distancing, can we please ask that only one person brings your pet into the surgery. If this is not possible, we would ask that any accompanying person remains outside the surgery during your visit.
- To reduce the contact time between the Vets and Clients, we will discuss your Pet's visit with you in the waiting room, and then take your pet through for examination and treatment whilst you wait in the waiting room. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
- There is an alcohol-based hand sanitiser on the reception desk, and we ask that you use some of this as soon as you come into the surgery. If you need to wash your hands with soap, please feel free to ask a member of staff.
- We would prefer all payments to be made by card rather than cash, as advised by the WHO.
- We are increasing the time interval between patients to reduce the number of people in the surgery at any one time, and high-use surface areas and equipment are being regularly disinfected to try and minimise any contamination.
- Should members of staff become infected, then it is possible that the surgery may have to close. To prevent this happening, we are doing our best to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus, so that we can remain open and continue treating the patients who depend on us. Please bear with us, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
